Back in Port Isabel

Hello world.  We finally have internet capability again after a LONG summer without it.  I will be updating this site as soon as I can get my mind around all of the things that has happened in our absence and gather a few pictures to show you.  In the meantime why don’t you post a comment here about what you have been doing?

  1. Glad to hear that you are back in Port Isabel. We were wondering about your long absence from this blog site. Hope you had a good summer in Colorado. We stayed in Florida until July 22, then headed to Kentucky and then Minnesota. We spent a month or so at my mom’s in Crosby remodeling her kitchen and putting a new roof on her house. We had planned on going out west after that but we were too tired so we just came back to Florida. We are planning to go “out west” next summer. Hopefully we will see you along the way. We visited several interesting state parks as we traveled through Missouri. We also visited the Civil War battlefield in Vicksburg, Mississippi and several historic plantation homes in Natchez. The summer rainy season ended here in Florida in early October. We had great weather in October and November, now the temps are in the 60’s and 70’s. That’s cool for us. The grapefruit is fantastic this winter. The oranges are OK. They are plaqued with a nasty disease called “greening.” We are also starting to get strawberries. Danny and his family are here this week to visit us and see some of Florida. Lea will be here for a week around Christmas. We are healthy and doing fine.
